This needs to be done properly because a poor process could yield relatively poor performance from the employee, which will affect the organisation in return.  Performance management is a corporate management tool and process that helps HR managers monitor and evaluate employees' work. Performance management's goal is to create an environment where people can perform to the best of their abilities to produce the highest-quality work most efficiently and effectively.

This goes in-hand with the employee onboard process. From the onset, the HR manager is expected to not only integrate the new employee into the organisation style and culture but also, into the evaluation system and process. This will put the new employee on the ready, and enable such employee to easily blend and perform better.
